Greetings and welcome to The John 3:30 Podcast, we focus on Catholic Faith Life. The goal is to share different ways people keep their fire burning for our Catholic Faith. I have seen firsthand many people attend a Retreat or go through a traumatic Life Event and it brings them closer to their faith. For a moment. They are hungry for more. Unfortunately, not too long after, many return to their “old ways.” I firmly believe this happens because they do not know what they do not know. They may not be aware that they can attend Adoration, pray a Novena, or any other beautiful ways our Catholic Faith offers us the opportunity to grow in our Faith. My thought process is to sit down and speak with “everyday” people and have a conversation with them as to how they keep their fire burning for our Catholic Faith.  Like what you hear? Episode 4 is here!! In this episode, I interview longtime friend, David Valdez! We learn what keeps his fire burning for our Catholic Faith. We discuss seeing Blessings in Dark Times, being an RCIA Catechist, The Rosary, seeking Jesus and attending Praise and Worship Services. Items Mentioned during my conversation with David: - Book: Real Men Pray the Rosary, by David N. Calvillo http://realmenpraytherosary.org/ - Podcast: Pints with Aquinas http://pintswithaquinas.libsyn.com/ - Father John Riccardo Podcast: Dr. John Wood (Not Dr. Allen Hunt as mentioned by Jason) uses the Spiderman movies to explain "understanding the battle within." He points out that the Spiderman movie series is soaked with Catholicism. It comes up around the 1:08 mark of episode 1. This is a three-part series, titled: "Ordinary Live Extraordinary Mission." The whole series is great! Each episode is a little over an hour each. http://frjohnriccardo.libsyn.com/webpage?search=Ordinary+Lives&Submit=Search The OLGC Evangelization Committee, in conjunction with Divine Savior, St. Damian, St. Theodore and St. Thomas A'Becket, hosted Dr. John Wood at OLGC on July 19th to conduct his seminar Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Mission. You can learn about and support this mission by visiting the Dynamic Catholic website. Dr. Wood was joined by musician Cassandra Acree of Simply RC. This is part one of a three-part podcast If you would like to be a Guest on the John 3:30 Podcast, contact Jason Nunez at john330podcast@gmail.com
